  • What happens during a blood test?

    A qualified healthcare professional will collect a blood sample, usually from a vein in your arm. The sample is then securely prepared and sent to one of our partner laboratories for analysis.

  • Are the blood tests analysed at the clinic?

    No. We collect your sample at the clinic and send it to our partner laboratory for professional analysis. The laboratory performs the testing and provides the results.

  • Can I choose a test based on my symptoms?

    Yes. If you are experiencing symptoms such as fatigue, low energy or general wellbeing concerns, we can discuss which available test panel may be most appropriate. Blood testing does not replace a medical diagnosis or consultation with your GP.

  • How long do results take?

    Turnaround times depend on the specific tests requested and the laboratory processing the sample. Some routine tests may be available sooner than specialised tests. Generally we advise waiting 7 days but can be sooner depending on the type of test.

  • How will I receive my results?

    Once results have been received from the laboratory, they will be provided to you securely via email.

  • Will someone explain my results to me?

    We generally only provide results at present we recommend any alarming results be discusssed  with your GP or another qualified healthcare professional.

  • Do I need to fast before my blood test?

    Some tests may require fasting, while others do not. We will let you know about any preparation requirements before your appointment.

  • Is the blood test painful?

    Most people experience only a brief pinch when the needle is inserted. Mild bruising or tenderness can occasionally occur afterwards.

  • Is there anything I should do before my appointment?

    Please drink 500-750ml of water prior to attending and follow clinic advise.

  • Can blood tests diagnose a medical condition?

    Blood tests can provide important clinical information, but results alone do not always diagnose a condition. Further assessment or investigation may sometimes be needed.



  • Can I have a comprehensive health check even if I feel well?

    Yes. Comprehensive testing can provide a broader overview of selected health markers. However, results should always be considered in the appropriate clinical context.

  • What happens if my results are abnormal?

    Depending on the result and the service provided, you may be advised to seek further assessment from your GP or another appropriate healthcare professional.
